Position Overview
Hometown Oil is seeking a Seasonal Part Time Office Assistant to support our office operations during the busy season. Reporting to the Office Manager, this role will ensure smooth administrative workflow and enhance our customer service capabilities from the office.
Key Responsibilities
• Welcome visitors, answer incoming calls, and direct inquiries via phone or email.
• Assist with data entry tasks (e.g., entering customer orders, address updates, payment records).
• Manage filing systems (digital and physical) and organize office documentation.
• Help with billing and payment processing.
• Assist in maintaining office supplies and equipment.
• Provide general administrative support and cover basic receptionist needs as required.
Qualifications
• Previous experience in an administrative or customer service role preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Detail‑oriented, organized, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Friendly and professional demeanor with a commitment to excellent customer service.
• Availability Monday–Friday, 25-34 hrs/week. Business Hours: 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
Employment Type & Duration
• Seasonal Part‑Time
• Expected term: Late Fall through Early Spring.
• Potential for extension or transition to full-time based on performance and business needs.
